Zone 1 and Zone 2 diesel generators
Explosion-protected diesel engine, alternator, controls, starting system, instrumentation and auxiliaries.
European certification and R&D capability, paired with responsive Southeast Asia execution.
SunEx develops explosion-protected components, equipment and integrated packages for hazardous-area applications. Our capabilities combine product design, certification knowledge, electrical and controls engineering, package integration, manufacturing coordination, testing and regional service.
SunEx Technology Europa S.r.l. was established in 2019 near Milan and is the group headquarters, ATEX certificate owner and European R&D and certification centre. SunEx Tech Asia Pte Ltd in Singapore is the regional engineering and project-execution hub, and the interface for EPC contractors, operators, consultants and technology partners across Southeast Asia.
SunEx equipment is specified where a loss of power, utility air or material movement carries a safety consequence, not only a commercial one.
Offshore production, drilling and wellhead platforms.
Oil and gas processing and field-development facilities.
Marine, shipyard and floating-production applications.
Petrochemical, chemical and pharmaceutical facilities.
Mining, material-handling and industrial hazardous areas.
Remote and safety-critical infrastructure requiring reliable power or utility air.
Package scope is defined per project. The list below is the range SunEx engineers, procures and integrates in-house.
Equipment, controls, safety subsystems and documentation integrated within one accountable package.
Explosion-protected diesel engine, alternator, controls, starting system, instrumentation and auxiliaries.
Gas engine, alternator, hazardous-area controls, protection and package interfaces.
Diesel-engine-driven compressor, Ex controls, fire and gas detection, ventilation and shutdown interfaces.
Engineering assessment, Ex component application, package modification, marking and technical file.
Synchronisation, load sharing, PLC, generator controllers and interface integration.
A disciplined lifecycle process for hazardous-area packages, with a defined SunEx contribution and a defined deliverable at every point.
Clarify duty, area classification, ambient conditions, applicable standards and interfaces.
Develop architecture, equipment selection, controls, safety functions and package layout.
Procure, assemble, configure and control interfaces across the complete package.
Execute inspection, functional testing, safety checks, FAT and documentation review.
Assist installation, commissioning, training, spares and lifecycle service.
Certification of individual components does not by itself establish suitability of the complete package. SunEx manages the system interfaces, application conditions and conformity route.
Representative Zone 2 generator configurations showing integrated mechanical, electrical, control and safety engineering.
3D package development supports equipment arrangement, maintainability, ventilation, hazardous-area interfaces and document coordination.
A compact engineered enclosure integrating prime mover, alternator, controls, monitoring and project-specific hazardous-area safeguards.
Representative configurations shown. Final architecture, certification basis and equipment selection are project-specific.
SunEx Technology Europa S.r.l. is the referenced certificate owner and ATEX quality-system centre, holding 24 certified product families plus the Annex IV quality-assurance notification, across engines, rotating machines, enclosures, lighting and intrinsically safe instrumentation.
Selected ATEX certification documentation carries TUV NORD Cyprus monitored-production marking under Directive 2014/34/EU. Certification applies only to the approved products, variants and certificate conditions identified in the current technical file.
Final package conformity depends on approved certificate variants, equipment marking, integration, operating conditions, technical documentation, quality controls and the applicable project assessment route. Current certificate revisions and approved variants must be checked before application.
Verified management-system credentials supporting disciplined delivery in safety-critical environments.
Certificate status and scope should be reconfirmed against the latest issuer records before tender submission, contract award or product application.
A focused partner for demanding hazardous-area power and utility projects.
Access to a broad portfolio of SunEx component and equipment certificates.
Interfaces between equipment, controls, safety systems and documentation managed as one package.
European R&D and certification capability combined with responsive Southeast Asia execution.
Engineering, procurement, integration, FAT, commissioning, training and service.
Solutions considered through manufacture, installation, operation and maintenance.
Regional capability can be demonstrated without publishing protected customer identities.
What accountability looks like once the package has left the workshop.
Area classification, duty and ambient conditions are enough for our engineers to respond with a compliance position within one business day.
